ENGINEERED TO PROTECT
FILTERS OPERATE IN HIGH PRESSURE ENVIRONMENTS
Modern engine design and stop/start driving styles place extraordinary pressure on a car’s critical filter systems.
Extreme cold and heat, rural dust and city pollution all turn that pressure up.
The filtration system is the first line of defence against wear, consequential parts damage or even costly failure.
The risk isn’t just to vehicles – selling and fitting inferior parts presents a reputational risk to businesses.
INFERIOR FILTERS FAIL TO PROTECT CRITICAL ENGINE PARTS
If a filter is not engineered to perform and protect under pressure, abrasive and corrosive contaminants can enter the engine and cabin, leading to costly damage and exposure to harmful gases.
Ineffective oil filters contribute to accelerated engine wear, which is often invisible until parts completely fail. Typical parts failures include the bearings and cylinders.
Inadequate fuel filters can lead to the failure of parts including the common rail injection pump, fuel pump and injectors.
Inferior air filters place the flowmeter and turbine at risk of failure.
Low-quality cabin filters expose the driver and passenger to harmful gases.
FILTRON FILTERS ARE ENGINEERED TO PROTECT UNDER PRESSURE
FILTRON filters are engineered to protect right through the service interval – even in the toughest driving conditions.
Working together as a strong defensive system, they help protect critical parts from expensive wear and failure, offer enhanced protection against pollutants, gas and allergens and preserve passenger comfort & peace of mind.
We don’t just say this. We can prove it.
All our filters undergo multiple rigorous tests to ensure they offer outstanding protection.
LABORATORY TESTED AND PROVEN TO PERFORM
Our laboratory technicians took each of our four filter categories – oil, fuel, air and cabin – and conducted multiple tests on one FILTRON filter and one equivalent competitor filter, in each category.
We’ve explored the results of these tests – part of a much wider testing programme – in great detail, to show how FILTRON filters are designed and engineered to protect under pressure.
Because filters are genuinely complex parts. Without the right manufacturing knowledge behind them, they simply cannot deliver the protection they are designed to provide.
FAQ section:
The laboratory test uses gas concentrations far higher than those found in normal road conditions, in order to accelerate the test process and measure performance within a practical timeframe. In real-world driving, pollutant concentrations are significantly lower, so filter performance and protection lasts much longer.
Our filters are tested in accordance with internationally recognised industry standards to prove they deliver filtration efficiency and protective performance under demanding operating conditions.
