Even more protection with an innovative design
In response to increasing market and user demands, FILTRON is rolling out next-generation filtration material for its cabin air filters. This marks a significant step towards even higher filtration efficiency, production independence and long-term technological development. Developed and manufactured by the MANN+HUMMEL Group, the new filtration material is already setting new quality standards in its class.

New technology, true benefits

The new filtration material features a unique porous structure – clearly demonstrating advancement and state-of-the-art technology. But this change is not only visual. The technology introduced allows the filter to perform at a significantly increased level. The advantages of the new filtration material compared to the previous one are as follows:  

• 10% higher absorbency;
• 19% higher separation efficiency for 1 µm contaminant particles;
• 13% higher separation efficiency for 3 µm contaminant particles;
• 5% higher separation efficiency for 5 µm contaminant particles.

Benefits for users 

The present launch of the new filtration material represents numerous benefits for users, which primarily include even better filtration efficiency. This allows the filters to capture even more types of micropollutants, meaning that users can enjoy a deeper level of air purity with more effective protection against allergens and harmful pollutants.

The environment and the future

The new filtration material is also part of FILTRON's sustainability strategy as its production generates a smaller carbon footprint and the raw materials used are more environmentally friendly. This proves that modern filtration can go hand in hand with our care for the planet.

Launching soon

The first filters equipped with the new filtration material will hit the market by the end of July 2025. Furthermore, all standard (white) cabin air filters from FILTRON brands will be manufactured with the new material by the end of 2025. Importantly, we have not modified the filter design or its number of pleats. We keep upgrading what really matters – the air quality in your vehicle!
